Detailed Description

The inner tube adopts sulfur-based or peroxide curing system. It features excellent compatibility with deionized water + ethylene glycol (or propylene glycol) and resists corrosion from various chemicals.

The outer cover has obtained flame-retardant certifications such as UL94-V0. Red, yellow and blue colors are available for customers, and other colors can be customized.

It delivers superior UV resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, high-low temperature resistance and good electrical insulation properties, suitable for conveying media including coolant, steam, high-temperature water, hot air, weak acids and weak alkalis.

The EPDM cover compound of this hose has been specifically formulated and certified to meet the UL94 V-0 flame retardant rating - the highest vertical burn classification, requiring that the material self-extinguishes within 10 seconds after each flame application with no dripping or flaming particles:

  • Test method: UL94 vertical burn test per ASTM D3801. Specimen dimensions: 127mm × 12.7mm × hose wall thickness. Five specimens tested in each conditioned and aged state.
  • Flame retardant mechanism: The compound incorporates a halogen-free phosphorus-nitrogen synergistic flame retardant system. Upon exposure to flame, the system forms a stable intumescent char layer that insulates the underlying polymer from heat and oxygen, simultaneously releasing non-combustible gases (N₂, CO₂) that dilute the flame zone.

 

Color Customization: Beyond Standard Black

While black is the standard color for most industrial applications, this hose series offers extensive color customization capabilities that serve both functional and aesthetic purposes:

  • Standard colors: Red, yellow, and blue are available from stock with no minimum order quantity. These colors are commonly used for hot/cold line identification (red = hot supply, blue = cold return) or safety color coding per ISO 20560.
  • Custom colors: Green, orange, white, gray, and other RAL colors available with minimum order of 300m per color. Custom color matching to customer-provided Pantone or RAL samples available with 2-week lead time.
  • Color stability: All pigments are UV-stable and rated for outdoor exposure >5 years without significant fading (ΔE < 3.0 per CIE L*a*b* measurement after 2,500 hours QUV acceleration testing).

 

Electrical Insulation Properties
