Detailed Description

Optimizing a unique IIR+EPDM compound formula, it combines the ultra-low gas permeability of butyl rubber (IIR) with the excellent weather resistance and aging resistance of EPDM rubber. This greatly reduces the permeation rate of the hose during service and significantly extends its service life, making it suitable for a variety of severe working conditions. With outstanding ozone resistance and UV resistance, it maintains stable performance even under long-term outdoor exposure or high-frequency vibration environments. It requires no frequent replacement and effectively reduces users' maintenance costs.

Internal Braid Reinforcement Options

The internal fiber braid is the primary load-bearing element, fully encapsulated within the IIR+EPDM cover for complete environmental isolation. Three reinforcement options are available:

  • Polyester fiber (standard): Tensile strength 90cN/tex, elongation 10-20%. Best balance of flexibility, fatigue resistance (500,000+ impulse cycles at 1.5 MPa), and cost-effectiveness for general cooling circuits.
  • Aramid fiber (high-strength): Tensile strength up to 220cN/tex with near-zero elongation (<4%). Specified for long horizontal runs where dimensional stability under pressure is essential.
  • Copper-plated steel wire: Tensile strength up to 2000 MPa, EMI shielding >40 dB. For applications near high-frequency power electronics requiring galvanic compatibility with brass/copper fittings.

 

Application Selection Guide

The configuration is recommended for:

  • Indoor data center cooling: Hose routed in enclosed cable trays, under raised floors, or within server rack manifolds.
  • PC and workstation liquid cooling: Compact form factor and light weight essential for integration within PC chassis.
  • Automotive and NEV cooling: Smooth outer surface facilitates clean routing through engine compartment harnesses.
  • Charging pile cooling: Controlled installation environment with conduit or enclosure protection.

For outdoor exposure, high-abrasion, or rodent-risk environments, the 103 series is recommended.

 

Installation & Routing Guidelines

  • Minimum bend radius: Observe values in parameter table. The smooth cover allows slightly tighter bends than externally braided variants, but exceeding the minimum causes internal braid distortion.
  • Routing: Secure at ≤300mm intervals for vertical runs, ≤500mm for horizontal. Use padded clamps to prevent point-loading.
  • Connector compatibility: Push-on fittings require I.D. tolerance ±0.2mm. Excellent seal integrity with ORFS and JIC fittings.
  • Fluid compatibility: PG25, EG30, deionized water (resistivity > 1 MΩ·cm), phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Not for mineral oils or aromatic solvents.
  • Storage: Shelf life 3 years from manufacture date at 10-30°C, away from UV and ozone sources.

Q1: Can this hose be used outdoors without an external braid?

A: The IIR+EPDM cover provides excellent UV and ozone resistance for outdoor exposure. However, for mechanical contact, abrasion from structures, or rodent activity, the 103 series with external braid is strongly recommended.
