This food-grade and medical-grade silicone rubber (MVQ) hose with reinforced inner braid is specifically designed for applications requiring the highest standards of hygiene and biocompatibility. The MVQ material is non-toxic, odorless, and physiologically inert-meaning it does not react with or leach into food products, pharmaceutical compounds, or biological fluids. It meets FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 requirements for repeated food contact and USP Class VI biocompatibility standards for medical device applications.
The smooth, non-porous MVQ cover surface prevents bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation, enabling thorough CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Steam-In-Place) sterilization cycles. The hose withstands repeated autoclave sterilization at 121°C (15 psi) for 30 minutes and can endure dry heat sterilization up to 200°C without material degradation.
The polyester or aramid fiber braid reinforcement provides structural support while maintaining the flexibility and kink resistance essential for food processing line routing.

FAQ
Q: How should I clean and sterilize this hose?
A: The hose supports CIP with alkaline (0.5% NaOH) and acid (1% HNO₃) detergents at 80°C, as well as SIP with saturated steam at 121°C for 30 minutes. Autoclave cycles at 121°C/15psi are also compatible.
Q: Does the MVQ material affect the taste or odor of food products?
A: No. MVQ is physiologically inert and has been proven not to impart any taste, odor, or color to food products through extensive organoleptic testing per FDA guidelines.
